Nose like her Mama!

So we were our Jellybean friends on a field trip at Calder Dairy! As we start the tour of the farm animals Jojo throws up mid-stride. She takes a few more steps and throws up again. I ask her if she is sick or her tummy hurt. She replied in the most innocent little voice, "That stinky smell made me throwed up! "
My poor baby, I guess she has that blood hound nose just like her Mommy!

Cheerleaders!

The girls enjoyed their
Cheerleading Class.
After 5 weeks of practice they performed a nice routine at the end! Layla of course was the leader of the entire group since she remembered more of the songs and routines than others. Jojo was all over the place, loved to be LOUD and shake those pom poms! Their teacher won them over with candy or stickers at the end of every class!

Daddy's Smile

Kayden's Smile

All Daddy has to do is sing, "Smile for me" and Kayden does so. If you heard how bad Daddy sings you would smile too!

1st Tooth Out

October 12, 2010

Layla pulled out her 1st Tooth during nap time at Jellybean. Miss Jenn went above and beyond the call of duty as always and took a picture and sent it to Mommy so I could share in the moment! Layla was brave to pull it out all on her own!

October 26, 2010
Daddy helped Layla pull out her 2nd bottom tooth! Then she lost it in the white carpet, Daddy found a lemon seed and gave it back to her as her tooth. She put that seed under her pillow that night and woke-up the next morning to find absolutely nothing under her pillow!!! She then realized it was a seed not her tooth and was sooooo... mad at her Dad. Layla said with tears in her eyes, "Daddy it's all your fault the Tooth Fairy didn't come because she knew this wasn't a real tooth!" Thankfully we found the tooth put it under her pillow the next night and she awoke the next morning to $1 :) Man that Tooth Fairy is smart, no fooling her!!

Layla Riding Big Girl Bike

Miss Layla,

Always saves the good stuff for Jellybean! She rode a bike without training wheels all by herself. :)

Layla the Cook!

Layla has been driving me a little crazy lately, every time I go to the kitchen to make them something to eat she runs in behind me pushes a chair up to the counter and begs to help. Breakfast, lunch, snack or dinner it doesn't matter she is there and wants to "Cook". I learned that she has been given cooking duties at her daycare every Tuesday! Layla and her best buddy Riley get to stay in during playtime to help Mrs. Jenn prepare lunch for all the other kids at daycare. This was something I had to see once I heard about it! :) So I dropped them off one Tuesday afternoon and stayed to watch this much talk about event. I was so proud of my Big Layla, she is actually quite helpful! Since then, I have let go of the fear that she may hurt or burn herself and allow her to help me in the kitchen. And once I started looking back at some pictures, I realize that Layla has had a fascination with cooking for quite some time! I think it all started being in California, cooking Oatmeal with Papa and muffins with Auntie J! Here are a few pics of Layla doing what she loves to do way back in 2008!

Easter Sunday!

I couldn't be happier than when I have the chance to take my girls to spend time around my dear friends and alums at University of Michigan Softball Games. Everyone that sees them says how much they look like there Mommy and asks Layla if she is going to be a good a pitcher like her Mommy and she tells them she is already a pitcher and a gymnast! :) I think my girls love the hot dogs, popcorn and M & M's from Hutch most! Today was extra special as we watched the game with Lisa Mack, Meghan and Mr. & Mrs. Doe who we don't get to see often. I am so proud to go back to beautiful Alumni field, but I love it most going with my two Angels!
After the game was over the Easter Bunny came out onto the field laid about 12 dozen eggs all over the outfield and the kids had a blast running around picking them up. My poor girls couldn't eat any of the candy in them because they are allergic to chocolate but hey they were just happy to be out there! Kathy Doe said before we know it Hutch and Bonnie will be asking Layla and Jolyna to sign their Letter of Intent! :) lol Happy Easter and Go Blue!
